Biography

Michelle Yeung (she / her / hers) is a graduating fourth year UCLA undergraduate studying Physiological Science with a minor in Biomedical Research. Growing up in a Cantonese-Vietnamese household in San Francisco has shaped her passion for serving underserved Asian immigrant populations in medicine. On campus, she is heavily involved in Asian Pacific Health Corps (APHC) and PULSE. Yeung has spent my summers teaching humanities with the Aim High Summer Enrichment program which ignited her passion for education. Outside of classes, she enjoys playing tennis and pickleball, binging kdramas, and trying new cafes.

She is most proud of leading APHC’s Programs Committee with her co-director Aiden Wong in adapting the service recipient population to represent the communities that members want to serve. Increasing health education and learning cultural competence through health fairs and health sites, Yeung has witnessed how the addition of Japanese and Thai sites shaped member passions and aspirations and facilitate learning about community health.
