Biography

Hannah Yip (she/her) is a first-year M.S. student in Environmental Health Sciences at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. Her research interests focus on how environmental and occupational exposures impact worker health and safety, with an emphasis on advancing health equity through prevention, policy, and evidence-based interventions. Prior to graduate school, Hannah served as the UCLA Undergraduate Students Association Council’s Student Wellness Commissioner and worked at both the Arthur Ashe Student Health & Wellness Center and the Semel Healthy Campus Initiatives Center, where she supported health education programming and helped expand access to student resources.

As a Bonnie Reiss Leading on Climate Fellow, Hannah will review the UC Sustainable Practices Policy using a Health in All Policies approach to develop recommendations for policy language to maintain as the policy is streamlined in the coming year. The recommendations will focus on areas that uplift health and wellbeing in the attainment of sustainability goals.
