Join the Eatwell Pod at the UCLA Farmers’ Market for our annual Food Day celebration in collaboration with UCLA Teaching Kitchen!
Focusing on our continued mission of connecting our food to our personal, community, and planetary health, the Eatwell Pod and Chef Julia from the UCLA Teaching Kitchen will do hourly, live cooking demonstrations of a seasonal dish at the market.
In celebration of Food Day, we will be calling attention to both the significance of these ingredients to our UCLA community, as well as highlighting the ingredients’ connection to the land we inhabit and the indigenous traditions they come to us from.
We will also be sharing information with collaboration from partners, the HCI Garden and ZeroWaste at UCLA on how the food we consume has an impact on our environment.
This event will take place outdoors. Space and ingredient samples from the cooking demonstration will be available to participants first come, first serve. If you need accommodations to be able to join for the cooking demonstration, please email eatwell@ucla.edu.
