Associate Vice Provost for the UCLA Healthy Campus Initiative

Wendy Slusser, MD, MS is Associate Vice Provost for the UCLA Healthy Campus Initiative and HS Clinical Professor of Pediatrics in the Schools of Medicine and Public Health at UCLA. She is the co-founder and Medical Director of the UCLA Fit for Healthy Weight program, and the Principal Investigator on the Fit for LA Project, and the Prevention of Childhood Overweight through Parent Training Intervention Project.  Her previous research includes positions as principal investigator on the Fruit and Vegetable Bar Intervention study to promote fruit and vegetable consumption among low-income LAUSD elementary school children; and co-investigator on the development of the Nutrition Friendly School criteria a Community Based Participatory Research Project funded by the CDC.
