How can I get involved?

There are many opportunities for students, staff, and faculty to get involved with Semel HCI across campus. Visit our “What Are Pods?” page and the Event Calendar to identify the pods you are most interested in and attend one of their monthly meetings. You can also reach out to the pod emails directly (also listed on the “What Are Pods?” page).

Who can attend pod meetings?

Anyone! Check the Event Calendar for upcoming pod meetings. (Note: Most pods do not hold meetings over the summer.)

What is LiveWell?

LiveWell is the nickname of Semel Healthy Campus Initiative Center at UCLA. We encourage you to join the campus-wide wellness movement and make a personal commitment to wellness!

What are pods?

We call our seven subcommittees “pods:” BEWell, BreatheWell, EatWell, EngageWell, MindWell, MoveWell, and ResearchWell. Each pod focuses on a specific aspect of wellbeing on UCLA’s campus. Visit our our “What Are Pods?” page or the page of a pod you are interested in to learn more!

Who can receive Semel HCI seed funding?

  • For our student group funding, all applicants must be SOLE registered groups. Applications only accepted during fall quarter.
  • For staff & faculty, any UCLA staff or faculty who want to promote health and well-being on campus can apply.
